I. Papathanassiou fined 15K$ for illegal arms brokering to #Yemen & #Libya

Papathanassiou, CEO of Military Equipment to Yemen, Libya & Other Locations

On January 7, 2010, Ioannis Papathanassiou entered a guilty plea on behalf of his company, Taipan Enterprises, Ltd., for attempting to illegally broker the sale of weapons, night vision goggles, and other military equipment to Yemen, Libya, Chile and other countries. Taipan was ordered to pay a $15,000 fine.

Acting on behalf of Taipan Enterprises Ltd, he met with nationals of Yemen in Brazil and attempted to arrange the sale of number Swiss-made “machine pistols” to an end user in Yemen in June and July 2007.
